DORMANCY WARNING: King Henry Venus fly traps are temperate perennials, and they require several months of winter dormancy. Plants purchased during this time may be small or appear to have no leaves at all.

"King Henry" is a new variety of flytrap that produces tall, upright leaves with huge traps.

Easily the most widely recognized carnivorous plant, the Venus flytrap is a true classic. With their fanged, gaping traps, and their truly remarkable feeding action, there is nothing else in the world like it. When an insect comes in contact with the tiny trigger-hairs inside of the Venus flytrap's mouth, the trap will shut in a fraction of a second. The insect will then be digested by the Venus flytrap over several days. Venus flytraps are temperate perennials, which means they require a Winter dormancy. During this time, your Venus flytrap's growth will slow or cease completely and the plant may appear to be completely dead.

This King Henry Venus fly trap will be shipped bare-root with a 3" plastic pot and enough top-quality New Zealand long-fiber sphagnum moss to fill it. Planting and growing instructions will also be included.

Again, bounced back almost immediately. Traps were working and had good color. New traps are currently growing and I don't doubt that they'll look great.

Perfect! April 26, 2017
Reviewer: Alex from Galloway, OH United States
I'm not a beginner with owning flytraps, but I've never ordered a plant online before. I was a little nervous on what to expect, but everything was amazing. The plant arrived perfectly healthy with more than enough moss to plant it with and is now thriving. Everything from the planting/growing instructions to how it was packed was perfect! I absolutely recommend this seller to anyone interested in growing carnivorous plants, whether you're a beginner or not.
