Description

Commonly known as the primrose butterwort, Pinguicula primuliflora grows in rosettes of long, green leaves. They produce multiple flower stalks, and typically have white flowers. The surfaces of the leaves and flower stems are covered with droplets of glistening adhesive. Insects become stuck to these surfaces, and are then digested. These plants specialize in catching gnats, fruit-flies, and other small insects. Without these plants, our greenhouse would be completely overrun with fungus-gnats.

This plant will be shipped bare-root with a 3" plastic pot and enough top-quality New Zealand long-fiber sphagnum moss to fill it. Planting and growing instructions will also be included.
Product Details
Grow in partial sun and keep damp year round. They do well on sunny windowsills. They can also be grown outside in most areas, but should be protected from freezing temperatures.

My plant arrived in good condition and survived the journey here, it had some wilting leaves but is still alive. Kind of concerned about my plant but only time will tell for the outcome of my beautiful plant.

Thanks for taking the extra precautions to make sure my plants arrived in a time of good weather. They are small but healthy and will be fun to have in my home, office, and at my mother's house.

Buterwort February 26, 2015
Reviewer: Rebecca from Spring Creek, NV United States
Customer service was great! They waited until the weather in my area was warm enough to ship my plants to ensure they arrived alive. When they did they looked so healthy, with blooms already sprouting. The re-potting instructions were very easy to follow. I will definitely order from Predatory Plants in the future.
