Description

Pinguicula moctezumae is a Mexican species of butterwort with long, skinny, blade-like leaves.  They also produce large, purple flowers for most of the year.  The surfaces of the leaves and flower stems are covered with droplets of glistening adhesive.  Insects become stuck to these surfaces, and are then digested.  These plants specialize in catching gnats, fruit-flies, and other small insects.
Product Details
Pinguicula moctezumae prefers warm, humid conditions all year. Their soil should be kept damp at all times, and they are good candidates for growing on a sunny windowsill.

This plant came with a flower and immediately started growing new leaves.  I'm surprised at how quickly it handled being transplanted.

Reviewer: Daniel Bowen from San Antonio, TX United States
I'm so happy with my plant I got last year, in fact now have over ten of them! If you want a easy plant to grow in or out of a terrarium this is your plant, and just love and enjoy the flowers! Great job, Predatory Plants!
