Pinguicula laueana is best known for being one of the only butterworts that produce red flowers. They grow in rosettes of rounded pink leaves when exposed to ample light and warmth. Pinguicula laueana can grow well at room temperature on a sunny window. The surfaces of the leaves and flower stems are covered with droplets of glistening adhesive. Insects become stuck to these surfaces, and are then digested. Pinguicula specialize in catching gnats, fruit-flies, and other small insects. At this time we only offer potted specimens of Pinguicula laueana.
