Nepenthes 'Queen of Hearts' x 'King of Spades' are the seed-grown result of a cross between two of the most impressive and famous Nepenthes specimens in the world. In addition, the parent plants are thought to be some of the last specimens of this particular sub-species. The mother plant is known as the "Queen of Hearts," and produces enormous, dark and striking pitchers with massively flared mouths. The father plant is called the "King of Spades" and produces similar pitchers. Because Nepenthes flower infrequently, this particular cross will not be available again for many years. These plants are small right now, but with parents like this, there is amazing potential.
