Nepenthes lowii is a long-time favorite of collectors.  Nepenthes lowii is best known for producing wildly different upper and lower pitchers.  The lower pitchers tend to be dark, stout, and have extremely unusual hairs hanging from their lids.  The upper pitchers are lighter, and can best be described as 'toilet-shaped.'
