The Australian pitcher plant, or Cephalotus, is perhaps the most sought-after carnivorous plant.  It grows in compact rosettes of extremely complex, hearty pitchers that develop deep red coloration in heavy sunlight.  The plants are very slow-growing, and are more difficult to successfully grow than most other carnivores.  Photo by Holger Hennern.
